Today Doc and I “Cleaned Up”. We did a few things in the house and made some phone calls to start the day. Then Doc needed his coffee. He went to Starbucks, then to Subway for a sandwich. As he drove away from the parking lot and was stopped at the signal to enter the street, he spotted a penny in the cobblestone drive approach (Coin #1).
We spent the next few hours cleaning the garage. Not a good project for marital harmony, but the cobwebs are gone from the rear half. Then, I attacked the rat turd in the furnace closet.
We managed to compile a few things to take to the Goodwill. Since we were already at odds, we then tackled our clothes closets. That gave us a few bags of clothes to take for donations.
I did not find any coins at the Goodwill store, so I had to stop at a grocery store for today’s penny (Coin #2). Could not go home without one. This evening we did some more Cleaning Up: we made calls regarding some refinancing, we took a duster to the 38 Chevy, we cleaned out the fridge, Doc is currently sorting his lecture notes, I am editing the Neighborhood Watch Map and contact data, the battery for the Chevy is charging in the garage, and numerous other things.
Thoughts: Every once-in-a-while it helps to take some time to clean up the STUFF.
Total: 2 Pennies
