In March 2008 I began Finding Pennies. In December 2008 I began sharing these "Penny Tales" with a few close friends. They encouraged me to blog the Penny Tales such that more people could enjoy the Adventures with Penny Angels.

Day #812 - Pole Position

The “Pole Position” meant something much different to us when we were racing solar cars. Today it meant the temporary power pole was erected.

The temporary power pole seems like a small detail, yet it has taken considerable manhours. At first it was going to be set in the North corner, then in the South, then in the North, now in the South. Even the electricity company has changed direction on this. At least 4 or 5 persons have given their input over the past months, but today the pole was planted! Neighbor Craig has taken command of that project. Grader Craig trenched and dug the hole. Once again, rocks, rocks, and more ROCKS! (Plus some semi-boulders).

We have resolved the on-line fund management hiccups. A bank inspector visited the site yesterday and as of today, we can begin paying the first batch of invoices.

Late afternoon after visiting the construction site, Doc stopped at McDonalds for a burger snack. We collected six pennies. None under the window, but rather in the planters and surrounding area. There were no cars at the del Taco window, so I quickly walked through there to collect a penny.

Total: 7 Pennies
