In March 2008 I began Finding Pennies. In December 2008 I began sharing these "Penny Tales" with a few close friends. They encouraged me to blog the Penny Tales such that more people could enjoy the Adventures with Penny Angels.

Day #666 - Flavorful

As our first project of the day, Doc and I planned to work on some plumbing at the Duarte rental. Then we remembered that this evening was the Mechanical Engineering Annual Kick-off-the-Year Potluck. So off we headed to the grocery store instead. Needed the ingredients for the dish we signed up to bring.

Doc headed into the grocery store. Since the In-N-Out Burger was still closed at that hour, I quickly walked over there. The area and picnic tables had just been washed down. But I managed to collect a penny, nickel, and dime in the area! (Coins #1-3).

At the grocery store when we were checking out, I collected another nickel, dime and two very shiny pennies. (Coins #4-7)

We did spend a few hours working on the plumbing project, then attended the Department Dinner. It was a really nice evening. The faculty have origins in many different countries, so the flavors of food on the buffet table were quite varied - and all delicious. Plus Doc collected a dime on the floor in front of the fireplace! (Coin #8).

Total: 8 Coins P (3), N (2), D (3), Q (0) = $0.43
