For the past year, I have been
curious about the monthly city-sponsored community yard sales. This morning I went to investigate. When I arrived, the first parking lot was
full. There were cars parked on all the nearby
residential streets. I drove up and down
the streets several times. Finally I
said, “OK Angels, I haven’t found a spot.
How about YOU find a spot for me?”
The next parking lot also looked
full … except for one spot which another vehicle pulled into just in front of
me. So I said, “Now what Angels?” I was “nudged” to make a left turn out of the
parking lot – and right into a parking region with approximately 40-50 spots
and not a single other car parked there!
That’s almost better than Valet parking – an entire lot just for
Pippy! But what made it even better was
that I was able to hand-wave a few other people to that area as I was walking
to the event. Sharing the Joy!
There was nothing interesting at
the yard sale – and not even a single coin was found! Leaving the sale I said, “OK Angels, where
shall we find today’s Penny?” As I was
driving toward home, I was “nudged” to turn into a shopping center with a
Goodwill Thrift store. I found 4
pennies, a nickel, and two quarters in the parking lot! WOW!
That was nice.
Since I had never been to that particular
Goodwill store, I had to at least go inside and investigate. Things were nicely displayed and I just could
not resist trying on a few clothing items.
Out of the dozen shirts and sweaters I tried on, I purchased five of them! That’s a “batting average” of 417! For me that is highly unusual. I don’t often find things which fit. Thank You Angels. Then when the items were rung up at the
register, some of them were half off!
Yippee. Five shirts and sweaters
for under $20. Saving money is almost as much fun as Finding money.
LESSON: Take Angels along on your shopping trips.
