In March 2008 I began Finding Pennies. In December 2008 I began sharing these "Penny Tales" with a few close friends. They encouraged me to blog the Penny Tales such that more people could enjoy the Adventures with Penny Angels.

Day #1,262 - Geyser

Waking up on a Sunday morning at the Penny Palace.  Nice.  Feels comfortable - like a good fitting pair of shoes.

Surprise Geyser
After yesterday's repair job on the ruptured water line to the back yard waterfall, we were anxious to test it and see the waterfall running again.  The pin hole leak from yesterday was gone, but a new rupture occurred.  Made for a cool and refreshing geyser on this warm day.

Doc was getting impatient with the progress I have been making on the spiral staircase project (zero in two weeks), so today he insisted we paint the stairs.  He took the center column while I painted more spindles.  After two hours, the staircase looked nicer.  Next comes the handrail sealing.

Painting Stair Post
Since the afternoon was spent on Penny Palace work, Doc did not get to prepare his Final Exams.  He was getting a bit grumpy and nervous about those.  Thus we spent an hour preparing the first exam - the details and diagrams to be added tomorrow.

Dog Tired

At 7:00 p.m. we headed to the Pomona house.  Before we got on the freeway, Doc stopped for a coffee.  I collected 3 pennies and a dime there.  (Coins #1-4)

At the Pomona house we spent one hour checking emails, taking out trash, and packing just a few little things.  Found one penny in the street by the driveway.  (Coin #5)

Next we went to the typical three grocery stores for our weekly shopping.  Two pennies at the first store; three dimes, a nickel, and a penny at the third store.  (Coins #6-12)

Total:    12  Coins        P (7), N (1), D (4), Q (0) = $0.52
