Woke up tired this morning and with a headache. Drat. Realized I fell asleep last night before completing Penny Tale. Must have been really tired. Drat. Was rushing and trying to get out of the house when Doc reminded me I needed to clean up the dog poop in the back yard because the gardener would be working there shortly. Drat.
Made it to the jobsite just in time for an 8:30 meeting with the floor tile guy. After 30 minutes of waiting, I called him. He forgot about the meeting. Drat! No one else was working on site. Drat! So I locked the gate and proceeded with my day.
Went to investigate that quarter round tile. The one that was the perfect color, better size, and right price, won’t be available for 4 months. Drat. The second choice one is no longer available. Drat.
Yesterday Daryl and I picked out that perfect paint color in a sandstone texture for the fireplace wall. I bought a can and painted a sample board. Took it to the site today. Yuck! The painted sample is nothing like the paint chip from the store. Drat! Even Doc who doesn’t really care that much about the color scheme, said. “Nope”.
I took the paint can back and the sales attendant, Tom, agreed. Something was wrong. Tom tried adding pigment to ‘correct’ the paint. That gave us mauve! Drat. Tom took a similar normal color of paint and added it to the sandstone base. Awful! Drat. He then called the manufacturer and was told I had an old color swatch. So I chose another newer color in hopes it might work. Took it to the jobsite. It was too grey. Ugly. Drat. I want the color we had chosen!
I completed more errands, then went back to the jobsite at 1 p.m. to meet with the floor tile guy.

Stopped at the grocery store on the way back to the freeway. We were seeking coins and dog food. Doc and I each found a penny outside the store.
Other than the frustrations, the rest of the day was OK.
Total: 2 pennies

The Penny Angels sprinkled (more like thunderstormed, actually) on me when I was at a standstill yesterday morning, so I hope they do the same for you. Get the color absolutely perfect and don't settle for seconds on the tile. It's a PALACE, remember.
