It was a very warm, gorgeous day. The sky was blue and the mountains majestic. A perfect setting for a picnic in the shade.
This morning did some website work and made progress on the 20-year solar car team reunion. Then it was off to the construction site.
***************
One truckload of concrete poured this morning. That was for the foundation of the retaining wall along the driveway. It’s great. Instead of a straight wall 100+ ft. long, we made a little break in the wall for a trellis - the “Arbor of Love”. See the video of the "Bobcat Dance". He was pushing dirt back against the first row of blocks.
At noon we had lunch with the four guys on the concrete crew. They work so hard every day and usually only nod a hello to us. It was such a pleasure to have a few moments with them over sandwiches.
Stopped at the grocery store on the way home for one penny.
It has been 50 days since we started the construction part of this project. This has been the best part for sure!
