In March 2008 I began Finding Pennies. In December 2008 I began sharing these "Penny Tales" with a few close friends. They encouraged me to blog the Penny Tales such that more people could enjoy the Adventures with Penny Angels.

Day #461 - Spring Break

This is supposed to be “Spring Break”. Sure. When does it start? This week has been an assortment of grading papers, preparing final grades, tax prep, class prep, Spring cleaning and Penny Fever. Some “break”.

This morning I was working on tax prep stuff. Doc went to the grocery store for a break, bread, and a penny (Coin #1). At noon we headed to school. Doc insisted upon a stop at McDonald’s. He got food, I walked to the self-serve car wash next door and found a penny in one of the wash bays and another penny at the vacuum hose area (Coins #2&3).

We put in a few concentrated hours of work. Cleaned up some things from last quarter and worked on preparations for classes which begin Monday. (It’s easier to get work done without the interruption of students)! As we were leaving campus Doc stopped in the parking lot and insisted we get out and walk for a few minutes. This man has a severe case of Penny Fever! He logged 1,000 steps and found 3 pennies (Coins #4-6). Plus he found an embedded penny which frustrated him.

On the way home I needed to make a stop. Doc went to the grocery store and collected a dime there. (Coin #7). Then he found a penny in the parking lot. (Coin #8).

Total: 8 Coins P (7), N (0), D (1), Q (0) = $0.17
