In March 2008 I began Finding Pennies. In December 2008 I began sharing these "Penny Tales" with a few close friends. They encouraged me to blog the Penny Tales such that more people could enjoy the Adventures with Penny Angels.

Day #874 - Where's the Dirt?

Grader Craig was bringing in additional truckloads of dirt today (which we must buy) and suggesting we haul off a few loads of rock to make more room to work in the back yard. Plus, we won’t want those hundreds and hundreds of rocks stranded back there once the house is built.

Contrast that with my brother’s situation. He just called a few minutes ago. He is currently grading the land for his new house which is smaller than ours, but positioned way back from the street. He said they have moved 82,000 cu ft. of dirt in which they found ONE 10 inch “boulder”! He has saved it for a souvenir as possibly the only rock on the property. He was wanting a few rocks to use for landscaping and only found one pebble in all those truck loads! He was envious of my rocks. Can’t we work a deal here? I have rocks, he has soil. They just happen to be hundreds of miles apart.

I found a penny while fueling for gasoline today.

Doc and Sparky found a dime when getting their morning coffee.

Once again that silver and copper disparity.

Many things going on today. One was an unexpected hiccup in our Truss Order. Total focus for a few hours toward resolving that issue. More follow through needed tomorrow. Need angelic assistance on that issue.

Total: 2 Coins P (1), N (0), D (1), Q (0) = $0.11
