Background

In March 2008 I began Finding Pennies. In December 2008 I began sharing these "Penny Tales" with a few close friends. They encouraged me to blog the Penny Tales such that more people could enjoy the Adventures with Penny Angels.

Day #932 - Luau

Each year two of our former solar car ‘kids’ (Fil and Teresa), host a Luau/Birthday Party for their three kids and friends. We were invited and asked if we could bring “our kids”. What a great time!

We picked “our kids” up from their house at 11 a.m. At noon we stopped for a great lunch. Arrived at the Luau just before 2. From then on, it was wet and wild fun. There were over 30 kids in the pool today and the noise level was thunderous. Such JOY.

There were a number of people at the party who had the opportunity to see “our kids” before they will move away next month. It was extra special to have Grandma Shirlee and Merril get to see them. The Twins were please to realize that they are now taller than Grandma Shirlee.

At 6 p.m. it was time for the long drive home. No one wanted to leave. We stopped for dinner at Pick Up Sticks - the kids enjoyed the chow mein noodles, shrimp fried rice, and lettuce wraps.

We returned the kids to their parents by the 9 p.m. curfew. It was such a wonderful day.

Penny Palace Progress?

We assumed there was no work going on today. Wrong! Here is an email from Neighbor Craig:

The plumber Bryon was at the house for 9 1/2 hours today. All of the abs venting is done both garages and the house/LOOKS GOOD you will like it.

Isn’t it great to have a “neighborhood reporter” keeping all of us informed?

Chuck E. Cheese’s is filled with kids, crowds, noise and commotion. I dread it. (cf Day #845 )

Do I detect a double standard?
