In March 2008 I began Finding Pennies. In December 2008 I began sharing these "Penny Tales" with a few close friends. They encouraged me to blog the Penny Tales such that more people could enjoy the Adventures with Penny Angels.

Day #966 - More Guests

Doc and I made a quick McDonald’s run for breakfast and 3 pennies.

A busy day again at the jobsite. We had a 9 a.m. meeting with a rep for alarm systems. Electrical and HVAC crews were working. The framing crew was furring out some walls, building the platform for the water heater, reducing the size of some window openings to fit the smaller windows we ordered and more. Some of the windows are still huge and others are so tall I can’t reach the latches to open them! I am still disappointed with the two entryway sidelights. I just can’t put all that vinyl at the front door instead of glass.

At 1 p.m. we had guests. My mom and her niece, Helgard from Germany, came to visit. The Penny Palace is not quite like the Palaces of Europe, but she was still impressed with it.

I should be keeping a Guest Book - it would be fun to look back at it. We have already had visitors from Australia and the states of Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, and Missouri.

At 3 p.m. Doc and I left the jobsite and rushed home hoping to find the July reimbursement check from the bank. We were both disappointed. Doc hid in this office with

the TV, I went in search of other windows. (See Windows from Heaven story).

An email later in the evening said that Phantom Plumber had repaired the broken water line in the Equestrian trail and completed a few other minor tasks.

Total: 3 pennies

Quite a palace you are constructing! I like the term "Grand Room." Hope you replace the sidelights. You must enjoy entering your home each time.
