In March 2008 I began Finding Pennies. In December 2008 I began sharing these "Penny Tales" with a few close friends. They encouraged me to blog the Penny Tales such that more people could enjoy the Adventures with Penny Angels.

Day #764 - Be Still

Incoming quote from a friend today:

"Be still and know that I am God, be still and know that I am, be still and know, be still, BE"! ~~It all comes down to just BEING!

I am trying to be still. Gosh it’s difficult!

Even though construction of the new house project is at a stand-still, there is daily ‘quiet’ progress. The frustration of delayed construction is subsiding and the energy is being used elsewhere - like researching appliances, learning about lighting, investigating flooring, designing the wall finishes, etc.

***************

This morning I assisted a friend with a report she was writing while Doc totaled our mileage journals for last year. He and Sparky took a break. They found a penny and a nickel in the high school parking lot where they were walking, then a penny inside Starbucks, then two pennies in the parking lot at the grocery store. (Coins #1-5)

Mid afternoon Doc and I headed over to the Duarte townhouse to do a little work. On the way, we stopped for some Mexican food and three pennies at the drive up window. (Coins #6-8).

This evening I have been researching and pricing wall ovens for the new house. Yikes they are expensive! Who needs them? What a waste of money. My oven only gets used once a year on Thanksgiving Day. The rest of the year it stores dishes.

Total: 8 Coins P (7), N (1), D (0), Q (0) = $0.12

Make some cookies, bake some bread, assemble a pizza, roast a head of garlic, brown bread crumbs on mac&cheese. You're not that unimaginative.
