I was trying to figure out what to call today’s Penny Tale and started to title it “Night Off” since there was nothing significant to write about. Then Doc said, “I’m taking out the trash right now. Just because I Love You”. (And I would pester him until he did it).
Doc and I spent most of today working on taxes and cleaning around the house. At 6:30 we headed out for the weekly grocery shopping. Stopped at an office supply store for a rent receipt book (my old one still had the years with 19XX dates on it so it is at least 12 years old).
Doc bought me a cute little flash drive with butterflies on it. He said, “Just Because”. (What he meant was - just because it was on sale for a really good price).
As we were driving past a 7-11 store, Doc suggested we stop there so I could find MY coin for today. (He had already found his penny (Doc #1) when going for breakfast with Norman). I told him I did not like to go into the store to look for coins without buying something. He parked there anyhow and said, “So walk the parking lot instead of going inside.” I replied. “You don’t find coins in the dark”. I hopped out of the van just because I was being an obedient wife. There was a penny within a few steps and then a dime. (Coins #1&2)
We next shopped at the usual three grocery stores. A dime and three pennies at store #1, a penny at store #2, and three pennies at store #3. (Coins #3-9)
There are no videos or still photos today just because we did not go to the Penny Palace. We did get a FAX from Iron Jimmy with a sketch of the driveway gate. We liked the upstairs railing design so much, that I suggested we carry that over to the gate. Jimmy has added dimensions to my sketch and sent it to us for review.
Now I am saying “Good Night” just because there are many other things still needing attention tonight.
Total: 10 Coins P (8), N (0), D (2), Q (0) = $0.28
